Description:

Ultimate esthetics around implants requires an interdisciplinary clinical and biological approach to treating patients. This presentation will focus on fine tuning patient care so that facial tissues and interproximal papillae will look their best and remain healthy for years to come. Sequencing of restorative dentistry, periodontal plastic surgery, and orthodontics, as well as socket preservation will be discussed.

This program will enable participants to:
Identify challenges to preserve the interdental papilla between teeth and implants; Understand new implant designs and surfaces; Understand proper incision designs to optimize esthetics around implants; Articulate advantages and disadvantages of immediate socket placement along with immediate restoration; Perform socket preservation technqiues; Explain the pros and cons of new zirconium abutments and when they should be placed for ultimate esthetic outcomes.
