Description:

You can immediately progress to the two advanced sessions after completing the introductory course or you can start here if you have previously developed introductory skills by attending Dr. Gerber’s orthodontic and TMJ/Occlusion courses. It is recommended that you have considerable experience in these areas and are competent in the use of the Myo-tronics or BioResearch instrumentation. Objectives: to learn the principles of neuromuscular stability and how to maintain and finish your cases with the various appliances including SW mechanics (straight wire sliding type) using the NFO archwire system, two types of NFO orthodontic brackets and EMG studies. Goals: to learn advanced diagnosis through modalities that enables you to treat early and with fixed orthotic appliances. Objectives: You will learn how to effectively close spaces while maintaining NM position and not to develop incisal interferences. You will learn to project and develop a protective neuromuscular path of closure while maintaining EMG balanced occlusion.
