Description:
This five-session program is designed for those dentists desiring the knowledge, confidence and experience to begin incorporating implant dentistry into their private practice.
Osseointegrated implants are enabling dentists to; literally, create a third dentition for their patients. In many instances, due to their success and predictability, implants have changed the treatment paradigm for the dental patient. No longer is it necessary to prepare healthy teeth adjacent to an edentulous space, attempt to salvage periodontally involved teeth with a poor prognosis or condemn patients to wearing dentures that are unstable.
The goal of this program is to provide participants with a thorough exposure to dental implants, enabling their successful use in the private practice setting. This will be accomplished through a series of lecture presentations, live demonstrations and hands-on laboratory techniques. By understanding some simple concepts, the practicing dentist will know which risky cases should be referred and which simpler, profitable cases can be treated. Participants are encouraged to bring their cases for discussion and treatment planning.
