Description:
Direct resin bonding can be truly the most creative dental treatment that today's dentist can render. For many, however, there may be problems that make direct bonding difficult with
unpredictable and often unsatisfactory results.
There are easy solutions to the problems that most dentists have in doing esthetic bonding. Any dentist who has the desire can achieve beautiful, esthetic, lifelike and physiologic results.
The first consideration necessary to obtain excellent results is understanding how, when and where bonding materials should be used and what results can be expected. Areas of focus will include: the stepwise application of microfills, hybrids, nano hybrids,
opaquers and tints.
Achieving realistic color modification with direct composite resin techniques can be a difficult problem. This presentation will simplify this problem by illustrating precise guidelines for achieving the natural life-like appearance of tooth structure. The methods and materials necessary for achieving the multichromaticity, translucency, and opacity found in the human dentition will be presented and thoroughly described. Techniques for creating maverick colors, white spots, diffuse hypoplasia, and craze and check lines will be shown.
