Dental CE Course: Implant Training Course w/ Surgical Time

This program will fulfill a doctor's desire to learn implant dentistry with practical, clinical information and techniques. Emphasis is placed on anatomic considerations, treatment planning, and prosthetic techniques. *** Each participant is required to bring their own patient. Participant will perform an implant placement in a mature and edentulous site on their own patient, this will be performed under supervision of instructor and/or faculity. *Review of anatomic considerations significant in the surgical placement of dental implants *Review of potential dental implant selection criteria, ideal case selection & identifying potentially high risk cases*Fabrication of radiographic and surgical stents *Revision of basic surgical protocol for implant dentistry, including flap design, soft and hard tissue management and suturing techniques *Demonstration of implant restoration using step-by-step and hands-on training in both the surgical and prosthetic phases Students to register for the course will be given the opportunity for surgical time. For the live Surgery case documentation must be submitted to Dr. Spencer to include: ideally a CT scan and/or panoramic radiograph, models, photos, and patient medical and dental history.*** The key learning value will come from the actual surgery performed by the participant and clinical partner(s).
