This course fulfills the Kentucky State Dental Practice Act requirement regarding "delegation of block and infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia to dental hygienists." This course is designed for licensed dental hygienists who would like to receive certification in the
administration of block and local infiltration anesthesia and nitrous oxide analgesia. Each participant will receive instruction through formal lectures and clinical demonstration. Participants will perform partner injections and administration of nitrous oxide analgesia. Please note that accepted applicants cannot be pregnant. Also, participants will be required to provide a copy of his or her current license to practice dental hygiene and show proof
of liability coverage that will extend to this course in the amount of no less than $1 million per occurrence and $3 million in the aggregate.
