Dental CE Course: Simplified Posterior Cast Dentistry that Replicates and Preserves the Natural Tooth Biomimetically,

0 Reviews

The second part of this series focuses on the building of a “biobase” which stabilizes the natural tooth and creates a biomechanically compatible substrate for the innovative casting design that will be described. The simplified, yet effective casting makes the preparation, impression, and cementation procedures easy and predictable to do, avoiding many of the problems associated with full cut down crowns. These biomimetic castings replicate the bendability of the intact tooth, as well as create a bank of tooth structure that will allow for subsequent repair without the loss of the entire restoration. Further, these restorations strengthen rather than weaken teeth while preserving periodontal and pulpal health.
