My purpose is to help dentists recognize the powerful information held in their financial statements for the purpose of managing this value, within their practices, until they are ready to sell towards an optimum sale price somewhere down the road. Probably, the most overlooked opportunity in dentistry is the management of a dental practice.

Goals:

The primary purpose of the study club shall be the study of practice management dynamics, particularly as it is in service to optimum patient care and reduced stress in the practice environment.

-Increase your ability to effectively problem-solve

Another one of the goals for this study club is to help you recognize the powerful information held in your financial statements and to share this information with your team so that they can have a more in depth appreciation of the financial underpinnings of your practice. You will learn how to use this resource, through specific methods, to the return on one of your greatest assets – your practice!

Objectives:

-Learn to read financial statements to gain a basic understanding of how these statements measure your performance

-Use a Breakeven Analysis for planning the number of days you need to work each year to reach your financial goals

-Transform your identity from being an owner/operator to being the owner/operator/ CEO and leader in your practice

-Expand your ability to communicate with your staff or “team” and patients

-Expand your ability to communicate with your team of financial advisors: your accountant, lawyer and financing professionals
