Dental CE Course: Advanced Cardiac Life Support in the Dental Environment

The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course presents the skills and didactic information needed to manage cardiac arrest, events that lead to a cardiac arrest and events that follow a cardiac arrest. Registration is required at least 4 weeks in advance of each class so that you can be provided with an ACLS manual 3 weeks in advance as required.
The core of this course is the evaluation and management of the first 10 minutes of a witnessed, adult, ventricular fibrillation cardiac arrest. Other essentials of the course are contained in the 10 core ACLS cases:
Respiratory arrest
Pulseless ventricular fibrillation / ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT)
Refractory VF/VT Pulseless electrical activity
Asystole
Acute coronary syndromes
Bradycardia
Stable tachycardia
Unstable tachycardia
Acute ischemic stroke
Cordell Medical has provided Criticare multi-parameters monitors and the Zoll AED Plus defibrillator will be used during exercises.
