Burning Mouth Syndrome Course Overview (Morning)
Burning mouth syndrome (BMS) is defined as the burning sensation of oral mucosa in the absence of clinically apparent mucosal alterations. An increasing number of patients with manifestations of this disease entity are seen by dentists on a regular basis, and most of these patients are either misdiagnosed or not diagnosed at all. This course will provide a detailed understanding of etiology, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of BMS.
At the completion of the course participants will be able to:
Identify important etiological factor in the initiation of symptoms associated with BMS
Gain a better understanding of treatment modalities for BMS patients
Understand which cases require further referral after the confirmed diagnosis of BMS
Common Oral Ulcers Course Overview (Afternoon)
This course is designed to provide detailed and recent information regarding common ulcerative lesions of the oral cavity. The course will focus on different types of oral ulcers using actual clinical cases with emphasis on differential diagnosis and most recent treatment options for each type.
At the completion of this course participants will be able to:
