For all dental team members who desire more hands-on experience in the care of older adults in long-term care or with other special needs, individualized clinical rotations are now available. Participants will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with University faculty and staff providing dental care in a variety of long-term care clinics to illustrate and reinforce the application of concepts and principles from the "Miniresidency in Nursing Home and Long-Term Care for the Dental Team." Personalized instruction will be available in a variety of areas, including geriatric medical risk assessment, treatment planning, clinical procedures, preventive care, communications and informed consent, behavior management, radiographic techniques, and documentation, among others.
