Dental CE Course: D604- Advanced Occluso-Guide/Nite Guide

This course will review early preventive and interceptive eruption guidance for the 5-7 and 8-14 year olds. It will also cover advanced procedures to aid in the correction of overbite, over jet, crowding, open bite and T.M.J. including the use of the quad helix appliance, Rapid Palatal Expansion, Bumper or headgear with molar lingual extensions, and other forms of expansion devices such as Schwartz plates, Crozet appliances, Bionators, and Frankels. The course will also cover thumb sucking appliances as well as how to make the Nite-Guide and Occluso-Guide applicable to most malocclusions, plus alterations, adjustments, additions and combinations, and helpful hints for successful treatment. He will also cover the advantages of preventative and interceptive orthodontics based on published research. Additional topics will include principles of retention and relapse, advanced cephalometric principles avoiding misleading interpretations, and reliable and unreliable measurements. He will also go into proper case analysis and documentation of treatment results, and how to interpret scientific articles with an emphasis on the application of statistical evidence in your clinical practice.
