Comprehensive Introduction to the Surgical and Prosthetic Aspects of Dental Implants. Focus will be on single implants in mature sites, as well as management of lower edentulous ridges. Students will perform both surgical and prosthetic basic implant procedures on patients. Implant courses include extensive didactic information, comprehensive course manuals, live demo procedures, lab exercises, and hands-on treatment of patients by course participants. Maximum 8 dentists per course. CT Scan on premises. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, including one group dinner. Course Objectives:
Understand the role of dental implants within the context of Comprehensive Diagnosis and Treatment Planning.
Understand the Key Elements of Diagnosis and Treatment Planning of deficient edentulous sites.
Understand the role of conventional readiography, as well as Cone Beam Computerized Tomography in the evaluation of edentulous sites.
Understand the importance of anatomical limitations within implant dentistry.
Understand the protocol to safely provide implant restorations, both removeable and fixed.
Understand the criteria to successfully restore single implant restorations.
Understand and implement the necessary skills to surgically place single dental implants in mature edentulous sites, on a patient, during the course.
