Considering Digital?
Before you make that decision, you should compare the three radiographs at the top of page 5. They are of the same tooth, taken at the same time, using three different systems: conventional film, film with intensifying cassette, and a digital system. You decide.

Easier Than You Think
If you see a radiolucent lesion that puzzles you, leaf through chapter 9; it will tell you all you need to know. And on page 94, there’s a great table that relates tooth injuries to the clinical findings and radiological appearances of concussion, subluxation, lateral/medial luxation, intrusion, extrusion, and avulsion. Flag that page and keep this book handy for easy reference.
