Dental CE Course: Dental Sleep Medicine Training Course

Target Audience: This course is intended for dentists and dental professionals with an interest in, or currently treating snoring and obstructive sleep apnea patients through the utilization of oral appliance therapy.

Description: This course is designed to review the role of dentists in the treatment and management of sleep-related breathing disorders (SRBD). It offers an overview in sleep medicine and oral appliance therapy, and provides an opportunity for participants to consider the implementation of a dental sleep medicine component into their practice
Objectives: At the conclusion of the course the participant should be able to discuss or identify:
o upper airway anatomy
o the symptomatology of sleep disorders and differential diagnoses
o efficacy of oral appliances for treatment of SRBD
o follow up and management of patients
