This course will address how to prevent and manage medical emergencies in the dental office and the basics of office oral surgery procedures performed by a non-oral surgeon. The instructors will review various topics including how to treat patients with a history of or current compromised health issues like heart disease, diabetes, endocrine disease, seizures and bleeding disorders. A review of drugs that affect the incidence of emergency problems and that are suggested to keep available in office to treat emergencies will be discussed. Please call (617) 636-6629 to register.
