Dental CE Course: Management of Medical Emergencies

Provides an overview and management of recommendations for medical emergencies in the private dental office. Specific types of emergencies and their management including altered consciosness, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, chest pain, shortness of breath, asthma, seizures, drug related emergencies. Review basics of CPR and the principles of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Recommendations for emergency medical kitss and emergency medications that should be maintained within the dental clinic are reviewed. Emergency protocols for various emergency scenarios, clinical algorithms for easy reference are also provided.
