Dental CE Course: Predictable Esthetics: A Lecture and Hands On Experience With Indirect And Direct Restoratives

Morning: This lecture/hands-on program is designed to familiarize dentists with a muchmore conservative approach for replacing amalgam restorations, rather than afull coverage crown. The hands-on portion will involve prepping indirect inlaysand onlays or an inlay/onlay fiber reinforced bridge on typodonts. Provisionalswill be fabricated with a temporary crown and bridge material and will becemented as the final restoration with composite resin cement.
Afternoon: In this lecture/hands-on portion, participants will learn about the newgeneration of composite resins. Each dentist will prepare a class IV fractureon a typodont. We will fabricate a putty matrix stint from impression materialto eliminate the need for interproximal bands. We will demonstrate the layeringtechnique of the composite system using opaque, body, and enamel shades tocorrect ht Class IV fracture.
