This fast paced course will improveyour dental practice and selection of dental materials.Cone Beam CT Uses for Today's DentistsThis course will provide an overview of the significant differencesbetween Cone Beam CT and current conventional radiologic techniques indentistry. The diagnostic capabilities of a practitioner who can utilize andinterpret these images should be improved. While not focusing on theunique physics of Cone Beam radiography, the contrasts between tomographyand plane film imaging will be highlighted. Examples of reconstructionimages including three dimensional constructs will be provided to help outlinethe great detail now available in properly produced images. Examplesof discovered anomalies and pathologic entities that were not revealed withpanoramic and intraoral radiographs will also be illustrated for discussion.It is hoped that this introduction to this new imaging option will createactive interests in the audience for other applications.
