Dental CE Course: Understanding Periodontal Disease/Systemic Disease Relationships

Recent epidemiologic and biologic evidence has shown a significant relationship between periodontal disease and various systemic diseases. This course is designed to provide an update of current information regarding the relationship of periodontal disease to diabetes, cardiovascular disease and preterm low birth weight. Evidence linking common mechanisms between the diseases will be discussed.
